I bought this scope probe because I was so impressed with the Probe Master DMM probes. Superb quality probe. I am not disappointed.
This is a decent probe. Two things we wanted in a basic probe: Cable length and no switch. This fulfilled both, although the cable length was still shorter then a normal Tek probe, but longer than a cheap Chinese probe (by about a foot). Switches are a pain. We never have reason to use X1 and sometimes you bump them with your finger, so no switch for us. Otherwise a decent basic probe. I haven't tested the high frequency capabilities however to see if it makes spec.
We all know that Probe master has well designed and we'll implemented scope probes. But Probemaster is more than just a great place to purchase high performing probes that ship fast. Their customer service is hands down the best in the industry. It's rare these days to be able to call a company and speak to a human. But to be able to call and speak with someone who is courteous, understanding, AND helpful really speaks the overall professionalism of this company. What a great team over there. And special thanks to Cindy. It ls a pleasure to do business with Probemaster.
Probe works great. The only negative is that the adjusting tool is too weak to turn the compensating adjustment screw. The plastic tool just bends. I used my fiber tool to adjust.
It is always a pleasure to use American-made goods. The fact that it works as intended is a plus. I use my oscilloscope to troubleshoot guitar amps and this model fits the bill. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.
