Standard test probes are inconvenient for probing dense printed circuit boards. We used to use dissecting probes connected to the meter with mini grabber clips to banana plug cables. Dissecting probes are cheap and disposable (they come in boxes of 100). A Dissecting probe is a steel needle about 7 long stuck in a wooden or plastic handle. I would clip the grabber to the needle next to the handle. These extenders are a much nicer solution.
