8050 Sprung Hook

Have used this product for many years. Good product and use often in industry but find the very end plastic part breaks easily.

Being a serious, lifelong electronics hobbyist, I use sprung hooks literally every time I'm prototyping, testing, building or servicing something. Over the years, I've had countless hooks break and come apart. Well, I recently bought my first set of ProbeMaster 8000 Series leads, along with a set of sprung hooks. Oh my gracious..... these sprung hooks are awesome and then some! Their build quality far exceeds anything I've seen, and they look and feel like they'll last a lifetime. I've always used sprung hooks that were friction/spring tension fit over the probe tips, and no matter the brand they always became loose with age and wear. The fact that the ProbeMaster hooks thread securely onto the 8000 Series leads means they'll always fit tightly, and never slip off the probe tip. I immediately ordered two more sets of the stellar 8000 Series leads with complete accessory kits, so I could have more of these fine sprung hooks along with the additional accessories (which are also of equal quality!). ProbeMaster, you've got a dedicated customer who's been raving to his friends about your products. Thank you for your superb products!

well made

I ordered a pair of these to go with some probes that ordered from these fine folks and I am delighted with the fit and finish of the accessory; they feel solid and like they will last. The shipping was fast and free. I can't see why anyone would buy offshore stock when we have a treasure here in our own back yard.

For the price point this is a great product. I gave 4 stars because I've already had to replace them after a couple weeks use. These things are fragile. The plastic is to brittle and offers almost no flexing without snapping into pieces. The weak point is the long narrow neck. These are great for the price, so I'll consider the first pair a learning curve. Stored properly they should offer fairly long life.

A strong spring and does the job well. Couldn't be better.

I've had probe master probes for a long time. I find the quality high, prices fair (for quality), and the company stands behind their products almost without question. It is my go-to place for probes. I cant say enough good. Note these are made for threaded probes only. This particular part is a sturdy sprung hook. The plastic is durable, the mechanism is durable, and the spring is sufficiently string to stay put. The ones I have may be older than you - if you're 25 or less :-) I dint replce them either, i augmented them.
