    9189 SMD Micro Spring Tip Probe

    The 9189 sharp probe tip is spring loaded to help keep the probe from slipping off the device under test. The 9189 comes with the 8162 Needle tip. Optional spring tips available below.

    • Spring loaded probe tip for reliable contact- .040” tip
    • 4mm banana jack connection
    • Includes 8162 Needle Tip (see below)
    • Fits all 9100 series test leads and 4mm plugs

      I thought they would be good for back probing a connector. I assumed the spring action would ensure a constant contact but the spring pressure is too low in my view to really be of value in those extra tight housings. The spring should be stronger th
