Product Description
The "GOLD PROBE" has been designed specifically for use with Tektronix, Hewlett Packard and other high performance oscilloscopes. This new slim design along with a host of versatile accessories, allows you to reach the most difficult test point in today's highly complex circuitry. The gold plated Probe Tips, Sprung Hook, Ground Lead & Alligator Tips provide excellent contacts for probing low level analog signals and high speed digital data. Unlike most "off shore" commodity probes, Probe Master guarantees quality and continuing domestic support for our "Made in America" Gold Probe.

**Readout Actuator (RA)

RA Option for Tektronix 465, 475, 2200,2300, 2400, 5000, 7000, 11000 series scopes.
Not all scope are listed. Check your manuals or call us and we can help you determine if you scope has this option.
The READOUT ACTUATOR (RA), permanently attached at the factory, is an option for 10X, 100X probes. These RA probes may be used with the 465, 475, 2200, 2300, 2400, 5000, 7000 and 11000 series Tektronix scopes. This option eliminates the need to divide by the attenuation ratio or remember which probe is being used. The readout actuator allows you to read your measurements directly from the oscilloscope screen.

Good and economical
I’ve been using these for upwards of 30 years. They perform well, and the detachable parts are available separately should something break.

10X probe compensation shortcoming
This probe has a high-quality build that I was looking for to replace the stock probes that came with my Siglent SDS1104 scope. The 1X probes are perfect. The 10X probes cannot be fully compensated to the scopes 1M 15 pF inputs for some reason. There is a bit of low frequency overshoot in the response. There are a lot of these scopes in the market and Siglents stock probes are garbage! It would be a benefit to you to provide probe compensation fully compatible with Siglent scopes. I do not believe that the 10X probes are defective as both that I ordered behave identically.

4900 Scope Probe a Good Replacement
I had a Siglent oscilloscope probe fall apart and tried to buy a replacement from them but none were available. I should have gone to Probe Master in the beginning because they make a probe compatible with the Siglent scope and about the same price. I knew I was getting a good product because I use Probe Master DMM probes exclusively. It always surprises me when I buy a new Agilent/Keysight DMM because they come with worthless probes. The alligator clips are blind and I always fumble around trying to attach them. The Probe Master probes are far better with screw in alligator clips. So, now, I use both scope and DMM probes from Probe Master and never have had any problems at all.

250 Mhz 10x 4905-1 probe
I've tested many different passive probes (ebay cheapo's to tektronix) and I am very pleased with the probemaster 4900 series. No question, all future passive probes I buy will be directly from probe master. Not only was the 4900 easier to work with than my other brands (basic clamping and maneuvering), but once it's tuned in, it has lower noise than comparable 10x probes (better than my Tek TP0101). I mean, 11pF circuit loading @ 250 Mhz for $56, how can you lose? My only sort of complaint would be the length of the 4905-1. It is completely sufficient for normal bench uses, but if you were working on a more distant circuit, it might become an issue. Perhaps for the next one I go with a 4905-2 for the extra length and accept the 1pF loading gain lol. The cable is also slightly less flexible than others i've worked with. That said, totally acceptable for the performance and characteristics previous described! Enjoy!

4900 Probe and Customer Service
I wanted a 1x/10x switchable probe to use with a TDS460 scope, and this works very well. I want to complement Probemaster on their customer service. The probe was not working when I got it (open connection). Sent Probemaster an email and within one day they they had sent me a replacement. Got it in two days and this one has been working ever since.
