The original sprung hook I received with my scope probe was built backwards, the gold hook was installed the wrong way around. I tried to bend the hook in the correct direction rather then call customer service. Needless to say, the gold plated steel broke right at the original bend, my fault; so I purchased another one. New one works perfectly.
